Hi there, thanks for the question! Studies show that there is a strong linkage between sleep and mood. Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder that causes you to stop breathing during sleep, it affects one’s sleeping quality, especially when one wakes up because of it. Sleep apnea can lead to insomnia, fatigue, and headaches, which can affect your day-to-day life. Recent research does show that sleep apnea can cause depression (ref. CDC).
