      Hi Joeyta – great question. One of the best ways to diagnose narcolepsy is a test called a Multiple Sleep Latency Test. Here we give people several opportunities to sleep during the day and we measure how long it takes them to get to sleep and what stage of sleep they go into. If they go into REM very quickly (within 2 minutes of falling asleep this is called a Sleep Onset REM Period – or SOREMP) this is a good sign of narcolepsy…
