      I have got my calculator out for this one!

      Right, if we assume, a person spends around a third of their life sleeping and 80 year old sleeps for 24 years.

      For an adult, around 22% of the night is REM sleep which is where most vivid dreaming is thought to happen.

      This would mean that approximately 5.28yrs in REM sleep or 46252.8hrs.
