In a healthy person, probably not. Our body clock runs independently of sleep. During the day it sends out alerting signals to keep us awake. It’s a huge problem for shift workers because although they have been up all night, they struggle to sleep well in the day. This makes them pretty poorly.

There is a sleep disorder where people will sleep for 24hrs or more. It’s called Klein Levin syndrome or the sleeping beauty disorder. It’s in a group of disorders caller hypersomnias (too sleepy). These people have sleep attacks that can last days. They can be made to eat and taken to the bathroom in these sleep attacks but they are really groggy and won’t remember it.
