it’s surprisingly difficult to answer, because some the definition of hibernation is slightly different depending on what animal you are talking about. Bears for example can ‘hibernate’ for a long time over winter but they are not completely inactive during this time, they move from time to time and they aren’t as cold as other animals like arctic squirrels, which can get down to almost zero degrees.
