      What a fantastic question! The sleep deprivation has seral effects on (count with me) heart, immune system, attention, memory, problem solving, mood, kidney, blood sugar level….and many others. You could potentially die from it. The maximum amount a human stays wake is 11 days, and I’m not sure if he dies after that or not. But in real experiments, people start to hallucinate when they stay awake for four days. I remember a TV show from BBC that bring people and sleep deprived them, and on that experiment you can see how people start to go mad after 24 hours with out sleeping, some of them they quit the experiment because they could not survive.
