• Question: What time should a 12 year old girl go to sleep on a school night?

      Hi. Great question and unfortunately there isn’t a specific answer! The national sleep foundation states that teenagers should get around 8-10hrs sleep per night. So you should be heading to bed with enough time to try and get that amount. The problem for teens is that your body clock delays at puberty by 1-3hrs. So 11pm in real time for me probably feels like 8pm for you, which can make it tricky to go to sleep. Its what I am researching at the moment, trying to figure out what schools can do to get teens longer sleep!
