I do not know much about it before you ask! I’m happy that I’m learning something new everyday! Thank you!

According to a recent publication (in the form of a letter to that journal), the author highlighted that ASMR is unresearched phenomenon with potential therapeutic applications, a bit like mediation. It is only experienced by a small population On a search on the most common scientific journey search website, the authors can only find 3 publications about it (til last year). Among the 3 papers that were published, the most clinically relevant paper is a study of 475 people who experience ASMR (published by Barratt and Davis), they show that ASMR helps users relax, deal with stress, and get to sleep with greater ease. The authors also show that ASMR elicits a positive effect on mood. However, another paper ASMR may contribute to the therapeutic effects of a routine clinician’s assessment.

Although the conclusions drawn by different project are inconclusive, I remind open to the idea that ASMR may have potential benefit. 🙂
